چکیده

Progress has been made during the past three decades to develop novel compounds affecting developmental processes in insects such as chitin synthesis inhibitors, juvenile hormone mimics, and ecdysone agonists. In addition, efforts have been made to develop compounds acting selectively on some insect groups by inhibiting or enhancing the activity of biochemical sites such as respiration (diafenthiuron) and activating the acetylcholine receptor (neonicotinoids) or the GABA receptor (avermectins) (Ishaaya and Horowitz 1998; Ishaaya 2001; Horowitz and Ishaaya 2004). Selective compounds with minimum effect on natural enemies and the environment can be classified as biorational insecticides (Ishaaya et al. 2005; Horowitz et al. 2009). Reducing the risks associated with insect pest management tactics by using selective insecticides along with their resistance management to maintain their activity during a prolonged period is of utmost agricultural importance (Horowitz and Ishaaya 2005). contents

Detection of malathion and chlorpyrifos resistance mechanism in German cockroaches (Blattella germanica, Insecta: Blattodea: Blattellidae) using piperonyl butoxide and tributyl phosphorotrithioate

Introduction: German cockroach (Blattella germanica, Insecta: Blattodea: Blattellidae) is considered one of the most common household pests which can transfer pathogenic agents and also cause allergic reactions. Frequent and uncontrolled spraying caused resistance in German cockroach to insecticides. In this study we aimed, to determine the malathion and chlorpyrifos resistance mechanism ...

Pipeline upheaval buckling in clayey backfill using numerical analysis

Offshore pipelines used for oil and gas transportation are often buried to avoid damage from fishing activities and to provide thermal insulation. Thermal expansion and contraction of the pipeline during operation can lead to lateral or upheaval buckling. A safe buried pipeline design must take into account a reliable evaluation of soil uplift resistance and pipe embedment depth. While the cost...

Investigation on Mechanism of Cordierite Formation from Nano Silica-Magnesium chloride-Reactive Alumina

Cordierite ceramics are used as refractory materials and kiln furnaces tools due to their very low coefficient of thermal expansion, high corrosion resistance and excellent thermal shock resistance. The aim of the present work was to synthesis of cordierite with raw materials including nano silica, magnesium chloride and reactive alumina. The synthesis procedure is done at solid state. Mechanis...

Investigating The Genetic Resistance of Some Iranian Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Cultivars to Pursuit Herbicide

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is one of the most important crops in the world. After bean and pea, chickpea is the most important cold season legume. Weeds are one of the most important threats to chickpea production worldwide. Due to the sensitivity of chickpea to herbicides, the majority of herbicides are used pre-emergence and the use of post-emergence herbicides is limited, and therefore we...

The Effect of Eight Weeks of Resistance Training with Tribulus Terrestris Extract on the Apoptosis Mechanism in the Heart Tissue of Rats Exposed To Stanozolol

Background: Artificial intelligence analysis based on the gene list obtained from the DisGeNET database identified the important genes involved in the heart damage process. Data enrichment highlighted the apoptosis signaling pathway as a vital pathway in cardiovascular risk. Hence, we estimated the binding affinity of chemical and plant bioactive molecules for cytochrome-c protein. Here, we per...
